Lascelles Hall said to have been built 1808 at the end of Chancery Lane for the publican of the Black Horse and named after Lascelles, Earl of Harewood, who lost an election to Wilberforce but spent a lot of money at the Black Horse during the election. It was a girls' school about 1822-1831 under Susannah Morine or Moraine. Charles Moraine was organist and choirmaster at the church. Exact site in Chancery Lane is unclear. Site somewhere around where 'Magpie' shop in Albion Yard now is, probably in the area that is car park. .
