James Hargreaves was my great great grandfather and the house in the photograph above was demolished in the 1930's. Bon Marche now stands where it was situated. As far as I am aware, my great grandfather Thomas was also a dentist and indeed his son Brian, my grandfather, was a dentist who practised above what is now Dolland & Aitchison. Ken Ellwood took over my grandfather's practice in the 60's and my grandmother Moyra Hargreaves was dental nurse to Mr Ellwood for a number of years.
