My Parents lived in Commercial Street, which is the street in the background. My Father in Law Mr Norman Cook & Mr George Mason ran T N Cook Ltd from the Shuttleworth Fireplace premises from 1974 up to 1998 when my Husband Michael Cook & our Sons and myself, moved the business out of town to Close House Farm, on the Otley Road (once owned by Skipton Castle)

Dewhurst Mill chimney can be seen on the left.

Gentleman on the right of the three men standing at the door to the shop - Alfred Shuttleworth 1875 - 1951 and the last Gentleman of the group to the left standing on the road - Alfred's son John Laland Shuttleworth (Known as Laland) 1902-1970. Confirmed By Colin Shuttleworth of Rope Walk Garage, Laland's son and Alfred's Grandson.
