The little building in this charming print took some tracking down but it can be seen in many High Street photos when you know where to look. It is the Wheatsheaf Inn and the ornate doorway on the left is now the entrance to the The Midland Bank in Caroline Square. Photos number 115, 145 and 161 give more detail and show its location.

Yes it’s the Wheatsheaf Inn, which closed its doors in 1908. Now the Halifax Building Society. The Skipton Building Society door way is a dead give away.
